Hey, Cis Folks. You want to take a concrete action to help your trans friends out?
Call your senator. Write them letters. Email them.
Don't assume someone else will, because a) they might not, and b) two voices are louder than one. They're already not getting a ton of calls, so, give them a ton of calls.
Calls are better than letters, but letters aren't nothing
Letters are better than emails, but emails aren't nothing.
(Faxes are actually better than emails too, because like, who sends a fax anymore? Rarity is good here)
As the thread points out: call them if your senators are Democrats, don't give them the "nobody called" excuse.
Call them if your senators are Republicans, let them know you are watching, and you think the whole thing is creepy.
Do not threaten them. It undermines your point, and I think it's a crime.
But the most important thing is, contact them. Just do it.

I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your reporting on Biden. When I first voted for him, I was mostly voting against Trump, but over time he really won me over by delivering so much more than I could have imagined. I just read your post thanking him and it's making me tear up. He was the best, most progressive president we've had and I'm so heartbroken to see him go. Even if we win again one day and manage to get another president who delivers this much, I still think I'll always be a Biden Democrat at heart. He came from humble beginnings and dedicated his entire life to this country--a country who needed him but didn't want him or appreciate him. He did what he could for people whose identities he doesn't share, and he did it simply because he wanted to and it was the right thing to do. He did it even though they hated him. It makes me think of all the normal every day people who do their best to make the world better in whatever way they can and who get no recognition for it. Your posts would give me hope and they didn't mean "very little" to me. Thank you for doing your part. I'm wishing you strength and hope. 🤎
My grandfather and I talked politics all the time, he'd catch my eye across the room and wave me over and he and I would talk. I'm really glad he's not around to see this because he'd hate it, but I'd give just about anything to talk to him about it.
The last time I saw him in person and we talked shortly before he died in late 2019 he told me "It has to be Biden, he's the only one" and I didn't believe him, I didn't see it. I thought Harris, or maybe Gillibrand. The old man always saw more clearly than I did.
I was a lot like you, not being Trump was good enough, I didn't have high expectations, but to be clear not being Trump was enough and should have ALWAYS been more than enough.
Particularly after January 6th being the guy who saved us from Fascism, a coup, and oh yeah being a basically good person after the worst living American was President were all amazing! great!
But like you said he didn't stop at just putting everything back, he moved. Here was this old white guy, but really believed in diversity, in an idea of America I could be proud of, of not just paying lip service to diversity but really lifting up voices that don't get heard. A guy who reached the top but wasn't jealous and lifted up voices, Harris, Buttigieg, Deb Haaland, etc and let them be stars in their own right.
and the agenda, I'd basically given up that we'd really fight climate change, and yeah it was the 11th hour but he came in fighting like it was the 11th hour, like we really were gonna go to the moon. And high speed rail? and and and etc
There's a line in the Speech Hillary Clinton gave when she had to end her 2008 campaign for President, "And, when you stumble, keep faith. And, when you're knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on." And I think that sums up Joe Biden.
A working class boy from the wrong side of the tracks in Scranton Pennsylvania with a stutter was never ever supposed to run for office. A kid from a state school who was too young to even be sworn into the Senate on Election Day was never supposed to win a Senate seat on his first try. And no one could have blamed him if after his wife and youngest child died leaving him a single dad of two little boy's in a hospital he'd given up on politics and stepped away. But he didn't he was sworn in in the hospital with his kids. He took the train every day to be back home with them at night.
Time and time again life tried to knock Joe down, but it never ever knocked him out.
I think the lesson is to really LOOK! at our leaders, really see them. There's so much cynicism that all politicians are rotten, that you shouldn't "idealize" them or whatever. I'm not saying to, but I'm saying see them for who they really are, who's a basically decent person working hard to make people's lives better, and understand the difference between that and something like Trump.
And its not up to them to save us, or... its that old joke? about the flood and the man who thinks God will save him? we got to pitch in to help save ourselves, great leaders are great but if a whole propaganda system tells everyone they suck they're not gonna be able to do much, we got to do the counter messaging, we got to talk to the real people in our lives and fight back and on-line and we have to go help us be cringe and give a shit and be earnest

I'm leaving off the identifying info from this Tumblr post because I want to vehemently disagree with the ideas expressed, not shout at a person.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/db0d6699a75519a7bb9eaa7ae63cfbc6/3af8a7a32c6643ae-8c/s640x960/7cf6708c830ad2c2db8406b5634df39282f12ee5.jpg)
Even a casual review of history shows that any attempts to accommodate/appease Nazis will not save those who seek to appease them. (If you disagree, please give an example from history where appeasing any authoritarian has worked out well for those who attempted appeasement)
To be clear, I continue to support the ADL. The ADL's work is needed, it matters, and it should not only continue, but radically improve.
The ADL must improve its information gathering methods, improve its reporting methods, develop and commit to a clear set of principles, and find leadership with both a spine and functional knowledge of history.
I can only think of two plausible motivations for Greenblatt's spectacularly bad decision:
1. If Greenblatt was frightened of how a pissed-off Trump administration might attack the ADL and allowed that fear to make this choice for him, he lacks the spine to lead the ADL's mission and should resign. The ADL's job is to oppose Jew hatred. Greenblatt failed to do that.
2. If Greenblatt didn't want to criticize what he saw and recognized as sieg heils (and dogwhistles to the white supremacist base of MAGA) because he feared potentially jeopardizing the Trump administration's support for Israel, he is willing to excuse Jew hatred from Nazis in the *US* half the Jewish world in order to prioritize the *other half in Israel*. The job of the ADL is not to prioritize where to fight Jew hatred based on political convenience, but to oppose Jew hatred everywhere. Greenblatt failed to do this and should resign.
With this one excruciatingly bad decision, Greenblatt has ceded the ADL's position as an authority on Jew hatred and thereby weakened the ADL for at least a generation. The damage to their credibility may never be repaired.
We are living, in many respects, in 1933 Germany, whether or not Jews are the explicitly named targets of this administration. You know it and so does Greenblatt. There's no excuse for his failure to condemn the accelerating US slide into authoritarianism, and no excuse for his failure to condemn Musk's dogwhistle.
You say the ADL was wise to avoid alienating what you and I agree is an antisemitic administration. I believe that the ADL should seek to alienate and aggressively oppose anybody who is threatening the Jewish people.
You say that Greenblatt's lie was a "little white lie" which will make it easier for your children to live here. A white lie is a minor lie which could be considered harmless, or even beneficial. I believe that lies on this scale and on these topics are not little and not harmless. Appeasing antisemites (which is what you admit Greenblatt did) has never in history made Jews safer.
Greenblatt could even have released a statement saying something like:
"While we cannot know what was in Mr. Musk's heart and speak with certainty regarding his intent, we are nonetheless concerned that his behavior will be regarded by hate groups in the US as a dogwhistle and a sign that Musk and the administration he speaks for are (again) expressing solidarity with racist, hateful, anti-democratic organizations. Here are the things we hope Mr. Musk and President Trump will do to alleviate those concerns..."
Counter to what you wrote, the ADL does not need to meet any legal standard or satisfy the requirements of any court to do this.
Instead, Greenblatt saw the sieg heils, recognized them for what they were, then rushed to lie about them in the most public fashion possible, doing enormous damage to the cause he's tasked to lead. He capitulated to an antisemitic administration in advance. How is this a "little white lie?"
Greenblatt should resign in disgrace. I think he won't, though, because disgrace requires having a sense of shame.
I don't know if Greenblatt never had a spine, a brain, or a sense of shame, or if he got rid of them specifically for this occasion - but all three are needed, he doesn't have them, and he should resign.
Lastly, I reject your characterization of all Jewish criticism of Greenblatt's spectacular failure to meet his most basic responsibilities...as "stupid."
By all means, do disagree. There's nothing more Jewish than a good disagreement - but there's also nothing stupid about the countless US Jews who know history, who see clearly what Trump and Musk are, and who are justifiably angry with Greenblatt for spectacularly failing in his most fundamental responsibilities.

Threats
Sometimes it can be very frustrating to live in a place so heavily populated with conservatives. Most everyone I run into plans on voting for Donald Trump because they believe he was sent by God to save them. He is what's best for our country, and it doesn't matter what he says or does, nothing is going to shift their belief in him.
I know a lot of these people have no idea what Trump really says. I know most of them have no idea what the results of his hatred for immigrants, the media, or liberals will really be. Mostly because they don't believe what he will do is really that extreme, and also because most of them really can't be bothered to actually do a bit of thought or research to understand the threat. Nope, they are die hard republicans and voting any other way is voting for the devil and the destruction of the country.
The thing is, I know a lot of these people aren't stupid. And though they say that they aren't hateful or racist people, it sure seems hard to believe them when you watch how they respond when they are told about how Trump wants to send troops into American cities on day 1 to root out every single immigrant and deport them. It's as if they can't put it together that if we suddenly remove a few million people from our economic system that we are going to have massive upheaval. No, these people aren't all collecting government checks that are so large they live better than you. These same people aren't taking your job. They are doing construction jobs, agriculture jobs, and meat packing jobs that a lot of Americans will not do. Many of them are paying taxes.
Don't get me wrong, there needs to be a better system in place to root out the criminals that sometimes slip through the cracks. There also needs to be a way for these people who are dedicating their lives to getting better and working hard to become citizens. We all know that suddenly deporting millions of people is going to adversely effect our economy. Adding in tariffs will significantly increase the costs of everyday items and cause a massive recession or depression. Tariffs have a place and a point, but Trump doesn't know what it is, and that's why he had to pay trillions of dollars to farmers and agriculture companies just to keep them afloat after he started his trade war.
But, this isn't about economics. As bad as Trump is on economic issues, you will never hear a bad word about it in the right-wing media sphere which is where the vast majority of these upper lower class yahoo's get their information from.
No, what I'm really getting to is that Trump, and by extension the Heritage Foundation, is planning to use every tool at their disposal to completely upend our society in every way imaginable. For people who seem constantly obsessed with conspiracy theories about democrats murdering newborn children, children using cat litter boxes in schools, or the government pushing vaccines on people to track their every movement, they don't want to consider the possibilities of giving a man who is deemed to be untrusty by every reasonable measure the tools to do whatever he wants.
You say you love your freedom. You say you want your guns, your free speech, your religious freedoms, and every other thing you know you are entitled to by our constitution. Yet, you can't understand that a man willing to send the police and military through the streets to root out undesirables isn't going to suddenly decide one day that even your freedoms are too much. You shouldn't have your guns because some idiots tried to assassinate me. You shouldn't have any right to protest because you don't like what I did. Maybe I will send the police and military into your town to round you up next and stick you in concentration camps.
I know you believe that will never happen. Oh, my representative wouldn't allow that. Yes they would. They are all cowards who have repeatedly bowed down to let Trump say and do whatever he wants. Are they suddenly going to grow a spine and try to say no just because your lily white ass is now on the line? Hell no, they won't because like every coward they are far more worried about their own lily white ass.
Trump and all of his enablers are a threat to the very foundation of this nation, and I am so sorry that none of you are able to see it. I still believe there are enough people of good moral judgement and conscience that Trump is going to lose this election. I can't guarantee that though. There are people in place to gum up the works and there are others who plan to not certify the vote if Trump loses. I don't expect Trump to walk away if he gets blown out, and I don't expect the right wing bubble to do anything but try and say how everything was stolen from them. They have also proven over and over that they are willing to say anything to get their way.
My faith in my fellow countrymen is waning. I want to believe you are good and honest people. I want to believe you are who you say you are. But I see your actions. I hear your words. You aren't the Christians you think you are. You aren't the good people in this story. I don't want to blame you. I know you are being lied to. I know you are struggling and doing your best just to get by most of the time. I also know that you are being poisoned and brainwashed on a daily basis when you listen to anyone talk about how awful our country is. There are problems, just like there has always been, but we are nowhere near as bad as we have been in other times.
Our whole way of life is on the line. I hate to say this because most everyone is tired of hearing how "important" this election is. But, it's true. A man who is given absolute immunity to do whatever he thinks he should for the good of the country isn't going to stop at "illegal" immigrants. Next they will come for the trans people. Then the gays. Then the "left wing media". Then anyone who doesn't support him and his every lie.
Sooner or later they will get around to you and your friends. Someone like this can't stop no matter how far they go. There will always be a new enemy. You have the chance now to stop this madness before we walk down the same road as Germany, China, Rwanda, and so many other nations. Can you, as a concerned citizen do the right thing? Will you? I guess I'll get my answer in a few weeks.

Gold Star Ratfucker Democratic Representative Jared Golden said not only does he want Biden to drop out, but he said, "Trump is going to win, and I'm okay with that."
Y'all know what to do:
(202) 225-6306 (DC office)
(207) 241-6767 (Lewiston office)
(207) 249-7400 (Bangor office)
(207) 492-6009 (Caribou office)
Moderate House Dem: ‘Donald Trump is going to win. And I’m OK with that’
Rep. Jared Golden (Maine), a moderate Democrat, published an op-ed Tuesday arguing former President Trump is going to win the election and he’s “OK with that.”
Golden, who has held his seat in the House since 2019, wrote a piece published in the Bangor Daily News, headlined, “Donald Trump is going to win the election and democracy will be just fine,” in response to the outcry of concern from his party following President Biden’s lackluster debate performance.
The Maine congressman argued that Biden’s on-stage presence didn’t rattle him like it did others because the outcome of the 2024 presidential election has been clear to him for months.
“While I don’t plan to vote for him, Donald Trump is going to win. And I’m OK with that,” Golden wrote.
The House Democrat argued that others in his party are concerned that if Trump wins the election this fall, it will be a threat to democracy. The proclamations from Golden’s party were only exacerbated after the Supreme Court on Monday granted broad immunity to Trump in his Jan. 6 case.
Golden said he rejects the idea that Trump will overturn American democracy. He said sounding the alarm about a Trump victory ignores the strength of a nearly 250-year-old nation.
“Unlike Biden and many others, I refuse to participate in a campaign to scare voters with the idea that Trump will end our democratic system,” he said.
Golden, who served combat tours as a Marine in Iraq and Afghanistan, noted that Jan. 6, 2021, was a “dark day.” Still, he said, police officers, judges, state election officials, members of Congress joined to defend democracy like members of the U.S. military.
“This election is about the economy, not democracy. And when it comes to our economy, our Congress matters far more than who occupies the White House,” Golden wrote.
By January, Golden believes Trump will once again occupy the White House and Maine’s lawmakers must be willing to not only hold him accountable, but to work with him.
“I urge everyone — voters, elected officials, the media, and all citizens — to ignore the chattering class’s scare tactics and political pipedreams,” Golden wrote. “We don’t need party insiders in smoke-filled back rooms to save us. We can defend our democracy without them.”
Golden, like all other House lawmakers, is up for reelection this year. He will take on Maine state Rep. Austin Theriault, a Republican, in the general election this fall.
Cook Political Report, a nonpartisan index, ranks Golden’s district as a toss-up. Trump carried the district by 6 points in 2020.
His op-ed is a stark contrast to comments from Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas), who on Tuesday became the first House Democrat to publicly call on Biden to remove himself from the race.
In a post on social media platform X, Theriault said Golden’s piece was “a very phony attempt to avoid accountability.” He asked Golden if he supports Biden or not and whether he believes the president is mentally competent.
“He won’t say, because he puts politics ahead of Mainers,” Theriault said.

A Leftist's Opinion on Community Response to Hurricane Helene, Chappell Roan, and the 2024 Election
Context and request: I'm a white, queer leftist. I understand that I am coming from a place of privilege. This is written after I have looked into responses from BIPOC and communitiesI'm less involved with.
If you have a problem with something I said or something to contribute, feel free to open a (CIVIL) discussion with me.
I grew up in Alaska for the first 16 years of my life. I was lucky enough to be in almost a political bubble. Most of my family are democrats, and the ones who weren't still cared for me even though I was visibly queer. I have godparents who saved me from abuse, but also voted for Trump twice. My home is a red state filled with Libertarians. But it's also the home of my queer friends, of my indigenous friends, of some of the most leftist people I've had the honor to work with.
I moved to Seattle at 16. Again, I was privileged enough to live in an upper class neighborhood and my school was mostly white. I was living in Seattle during the height of the George Floyd protests and encampments.
I was liberal in Alaska, and it was that upbringing which paved the way for me to become fully leftist in Seattle. Because Alaska may be in support of Trump overwhelmingly, but Seattle showed me the pageantry of white liberals in blue states.
In Alaska I was on the marksmanship Rifle Team for my high school. The whole team went to the gun control protest in Sophomore year. We all staunchly believed in gun control (and for my part, I still do).
In 2020 I was living in Seattle and watched as registered democrats I knew said that BLM didn't make sense because All Lives Matter. I saw the white fear from liberals as protests became more aggravated.
All of this to say, watching some white democrats respond to Hurricane Helene and the devastation of south/midwest towns and lives has been absolutely horrific. To say that you care less about the devastation of peoples' lives because they live in a red state? How does it feel to take on the same stance of human life that Ronald Reagan perpetuated during the AIDs crisis? There is nothing to justify that level of destruction of human lives. It also shows a lack of understanding for the systematic oppression people in these areas face. They're gerrymandered and suppressed to hell, all while democrats often fully write off southern states so most active campaigning they're getting is republican.
For Chappell Roan I'll be more brief. Yes, her phrasing lacked the nuance it should have been delivered with. She needs PR help and you can tell that she became famous slightly too fast. But it is absolutely valid to refuse to endorse Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I will be voting for Harris and Walz in the coming election, but I would never endorse them. We are witnessing a genocide as our government sanctions and funds the militaristic bombing of thousands of innocent lives. Chappell Roan has not been silent on her support of Palestine and for her to actively endorse Kamala would go against the beliefs she has perpetuated to the world.
I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the coming election. We're not in a position at present to vote in a third party candidate. While there's policies and actions of the Biden, now Harris platform, that I will continue to speak out and fight against, I do believe that there is a clear difference in danger to US communities between the policies of the democrat and republican parties. Additionally, I will be voting with the knowledge that if Trump is elected he will likely be able to stack SCOTUS even more republican than he already has. His appointments to SCOTUS during his tenure as president are a huge reason why Roe V Wade was struck down.
Please remember to check your voting registration as well as deadlines, or please register here.
If you have $5 or more to spare, please consider donating to one of the GFM in this linktree to help a Palestinian family escape Genocide. There are also some who have escaped but are now without the resources to start their life. If you don't have the money please consider boosting the families. Each family listed is one I have personally donated to. Please also check out Operation Olive Branch and the good work they are doing.

Yeah no, this was absolutely rigged. The shithead party that cried and screamed and shat and vomited and pissed and COMMITTED TERRORISM BY STORMING THE CAPITAL ON JANUARY 6TH absolutely cheated like they always try to do.
The Nevada signatures
People in places like NC suspiciously being unregistered to vote
The call to end voting in places like Georgia before mail in ballots could be counted
The fire bombing of ballot boxes in a couple of states like Oregon
And Muskrat and Twitter. Election gambling promotion via ads by claiming the orange bastard had a higher chance to win- that's just one of the MANY ways Muskrat is suspected of election interference.
Give it a few days and they'll say there was foreign interference like with Russia in 2016. There are too many places with too many agendas to be met by having an ego maniac sociopath dumbass in office.
Oh I'm not saying nobody voted for him- no, I live in MS, I'm well aware of cult minded, ignorant people voting that simply choose not to believe or delve deeper into the orange man's own words regarding Project 2025 and making it so his "beautiful Christians never have to vote again," or fools who still believe inflation is caused by democrats. My vote is probably the closest you can get to worthless- a match in an ocean.
That stupid fucker that couldn't aim for shit (and I'm still suspicious of for a number of reasons) definitely did not help by painting the reds as heroes with victim complexes. God that stupid photo had to have been planned.
And lastly, if there's anyone else to blame besides racist misogynists or the severely ignorant, I'll point my middle finger at third party voters, people who abstained, or the absolute morons that actually voted FOR HIM thinking it would somehow help Gaza despite him saying he wanted to help get its destruction over with (and Ukraine too, if i remember correctly, because he loves Putin). Congratulations on your morality, bros. If you can't save everyone, you may as well speed run killing millions more than the other option, right? Despite the clear warnings that 3rd parties do not win anymore, despite the clear messages that this was about keeping the LESSER of 2 evils from winning, despite the very real threat of Project 2025 taking away any future right to vote and hand over our rights to neo nazi christo fascist dictators, you get to feel warm and cozy as you sip your pumpkin spice lattes and read fics with your cat while some of us lost progress to getting affordable healthcare or more children needlessly die. Because your morals are more important than lives, obviously, because you're the main character, obviously, because bots on Twitter or chat gpt or the tumblr user with a Hazbin Hotel pfp told you we deserved to lose our rights- and you believed them because you don't like critically thinking, obviously. Thank you guys specifically for making it even harder for women to receive needed abortions, thank you guys specifically for allowing the monster that fired the pandemic response team back in office after covid killed millions, thank you guys specifically for undoing any progress made in the last 4 years and healing from him the last time. Thank you, for signing the death warrants of innocents, because you can't comprehend the fact that EVERY POLITICIAN IS EVIL and that your job is to vote for the LESSER evil that has an actual chance of winning, because we don't get to toss out the options available for a new set because any time we get close to any sort of progress it gets REVERSED. I hope you're happy with the outcome, you stupid pieces of shit, and I can only hope that it's you instead of an innocent child that gets hurt because of your actions or inaction to vote.
God I hate this fucking shithole country. Why couldn't I be at least Canadian?

So shit like this, shows me how inept people that vote blue are. You all think, "Well this thing is called "x" so it must be so". It's literally this meme in a nutshell:
Then there was the, "Inflation Reduction Act" which itself did almost nothing to reduce inflation and the only projected loss of inflation would be by a % and only by 2027. Trump was a New York Democrat. And he explained why he didn't run as one several times. And the reasoning was because the Dems would not have let him win. The same way they didn't let Bernie win. And policy wise, Trump and Bernie were not super far off. It's why when Bernie got gutted during the primaries, a lot of Bernie voters went Trump.
And just because Trump doesn't align with the new socialists doesn't mean he's not still a Dem at heart. Just means the modern Dem party keeps moving further and further left. Which if you want tyranny then keep voting for them. You'll get it soon enough. Oh and the prospect that I am "Only critical of Dems" and I "Promote Reps" is fucking stupid. I'm far less critical of Reps because I KNOW they are mostly stupid. But I will let the right criticize their own, and when Reps do something I'm very much slighted by I talk about it. Like when I complain about Abbott. And the only Reps that I promote are more libertarian party members while only being republican in name. And that's both Rand Paul and Ron Paul. Also Tulsi is a Dem I like. But I guess she's not Commie enough for your tastes. Because she's anti war and the modern dem party is extremely pro war.
Fact is. I only like Trump in so far as he protected our borders, pushed the Abraham Accords, and did his best with LYING generals at his side to pull us out of wars and bring our troops home. Of which I am ALL for because I'm a prior. Get my brothers and sisters out of these pointless wars. And out of these dangerous war torn countries that never stop fighting. Trump is a crass man who's self important to a fault. I'd never deny that. He has done some not great things in his past. But did he fly to Epstein's island dozens of times? Not according to flight logs. Bill Clinton on the other hand took several trips to said island. Bill Gates took several trips to his properties and I believe the island once or twice.
If you are going to come at me saying, "TRUMP'S RUNNING AS A REPUBLICAN SO HE"S NEVER BEEN A DEMOCRAT!", Well sorry just proves you can't parse words. Just because you don't see him as one doesn't mean he isn't one. He's not currently threatening to ban abortion. Most Reps would be. He's not threatening to ban Gay Marriage. Some Reps would be. Hence you miss the point. IE: You miss the forest for the trees. Reps are voting for Trump because the economy was good under him and he didn't want communism or socialism. And if you believe that there was no election meddling going on, you clearly didn't read Time Magazines, "The shadow campaign to save the election". In which they outline a number of things they did behind the scenes to make sure Trump could not win.
Many of which would be LEGALLY considered election meddling. Like IDK. Hiding the Biden laptop under "Misinformation". Which is funny because most modern "Misinformation" as reported by Dems and Mainstream Media just means, "4-6 months until proven true". Like the machines that DID flip votes. But the "Fact check" websites will tell you, "Well yes it did happen but we caught it and fixed it". Ok.......so it happened, meaning it could have happened to other machines, and no investigation was allowed to happen on those machines beyond, "Here you can look at it physically sitting on a pallet in shrink wrap and that's it". Yeah that's "Investigating" surely.
Yeah, if that had happened to Dems you'd still be shrieking to this day about a stolen election. But because you won, any and all funny business is reasonable and fine and shouldn't be investigated. Which tells me you don't care about fair elections you care about power. Because if you did care about fair elections, you'd have voted against policy changes that were against constitutional law. But unlike me (not a rep) you don't have morals. So long as you win and wield power like a weapon you don't care how you get there. And if that's the Democrat party I want nothing to do with it ever. Real things happened in 2020 that never got investigated. You don't give a fuck. Trumps voted blue most of his life. But in no true scotsman fashion, he's "Not a Democrat because he's not aligned with my idea of modern Dems". Spare me.
All communists should be purged. You aren't people so much as I'm concerned. You're a cancer on this earth. And modern Dems are basically Communists. Certainly not all. But far too many.
Oh and "Our enemies are trying to get Reps elected. Oh so Reps like Bernie Sander and Jill Stein?
And this is only one report. Several others actually claim that Hillary was in fact aided by Russia herself. Sadly the MSM doesn't care about it and buries it because it's damaging to their narrative of "Trump is Super Hitler". Get over yourselves. Your party is currently flooding the US with illegals and putting US citizens on the back burner.

> “The world is falling apart under Biden,” said Spencer Weiss, a 53-year-old electrical substation specialist in Bloomsburg, Pa., who supported Mr. Biden in 2020 but is now backing Mr. Trump, albeit with some reservations. “I would much rather see somebody that I feel can be a positive role-model leader for the country. But at least I think Trump has his wits about him.”
God this is depressing. Feeling compelled to vote for Donald Fucking Trump of all people, a coked-up pussy-grabbing buffoon who's been impeached twice and is currently facing felony charges, because at least he doesn't look like he wandered out of the dementia ward. The deciding issue for Leader Of The Free World is whether they belong in a shut-up-and-eat home.
> nearly twice as many voters said economic issues would determine their 2024 vote compared with social issues, such as abortion or guns. And those economic voters favored Mr. Trump by a landslide 60 percent to 32 percent. The findings come after Mr. Biden’s campaign has run millions of dollars in ads promoting his record, and as the president continues to tour the country to brag about the state of the economy. “Folks, Bidenomics is just another way of saying the American dream!” Mr. Biden declared on Wednesday on a trip to Minnesota. Voters clearly disagree. Only 2 percent of voters said the economy was excellent.
It reminds me of the Hillary campaign all over again. Being completely blind to economic issues, insisting everything is fine when people clearly don't believe that, being so self-assured in your victory that you don't bring anything to the table other than not being the other guy. The Republicans offer the wrong solutions, but the Democrats offer no solutions at all.
> That said, Mr. Trump will be more in the spotlight in 2024, including his criminal trials, a growing presence that could remind voters why they were repelled by him in the first place.
This is how the article ends. That same damned cocksure progressive-liberal smugness, that all they need to do is not be Trump, and that sooner or later you'll realise their innate superiority. The American voter doesn't need reminders. All the media has been doing since 2015 is reminding the American voter of how repulsive Trump is. That's honestly part of why people vote for him, resentment more than anything. Because the democrats just lord their superiority over you from their ivory tower and scoff at you for expecting something more than the privilege of gazing upon its majesty. The American voter seems resigned to the idea that voting won't make their lot better, so all it's good for is wiping that lofty grin off of the liberal's face.
It should be clearer than ever before that electoralism is a blind alley. The US government is the bourgeois dictatorship of bourgeois dictatorships. To anyone still in America I would recommend joining a union, a tenant's union, a socialist political organisation (I'm not too familiar with socialist orgs specific to the US but Freedom Socialist Party seems like the best one), the SRA/John Brown Gun Club, anything to get some fellow working-class comrades to have your back. And read Marx, of course, because understanding the mess we are in is the first step to getting out of it. Nobody is coming to save you. You must save yourself.

Interview with Stefán Karl written for Ský magazine, on the 1st of April 1999: https://timarit.is/page/7847092
Weak for money and women's issues
First of all, Stefán Karl: What is so remarkable about being an actor?Being an actor may not be so remarkable, but if you look at acting as a phenomenon, it is remarkable.
Doctors help the sick, politicians help their friends, carpenters build houses, but what is an actor's role in society? The actor's role may not be so tangible. But as soon as one spectator is affected in a play, doesn't the actor have a role and a purpose?
Do you follow English football? Yes, but not regularly.
Which team are you with? I'm with Arsenal who, as everyone knows, is the best team apart from Hauka!.
How do you see yourself in old age? Young and lively as a lamb in the pasture. I'm going to spend my old age with friends and colleagues in a retirement home where we will have so much fun that the nurses have to change shifts five times a day.
What are you good at, besides acting? That is: do you have talents in other areas? I choose now to keep my self-esteem to myself but I can proudly say that I play the piano and the accordion, and I can also play the drums and sing. Yes, then I was a salesman at Húsasmiðinn and I think I was just pretty good.
What are you weak for? Money and women's issues. One of the weakest. There you have it girls: You must make the first step!
If you met the Pope, what would you say to him? Get off your back!
Are you religious? Yes, I can't deny it. It is always good to have faith, especially when something goes wrong. I don't attend church regularly, but I certainly wouldn't be a worse person if I did.
How would you describe the country and nation to someone who had never heard of us? I think I'd tell him a good Hafnarfjörður townie joke so he couldn't resist coming and seeing one for himself.
Do you sing in the shower? No, but I did. Then I stopped because I don't live alone.
Which country do you most want to go to? Why? To Italy. I have been to Italy once and traveled there and it is a wonderful country. I have decided that when I get married one day - whenever that will be - I will invite my wife to Venice. I decided this when I was 12 years old in Venice. So it would be nice to come to the USA and see the sights with your own eyes.
Has acting brought you the favor of women? No, you doesn't feel it now, in fact, I've come out after a show of Waiter in the soup and found a red rose on my car. But at the time, I would have rather thought that the Social Democratic Party was spreading propaganda rather than that a woman was trying to get with me. (Translator's note: the logo of the Social Democratic Party in Iceland is a red rose.)
Are you on a fast? No. But I believe in love at first sight, it also saves a lot of time!
Favorite line from a movie? "Stooooop thaaaaaat traaaaain" from the movie The Dresser starring Albert Finney. This was when the train was going ahead of him and he called the train to stop which it did. Then he got on board.
Do you get stage fright? It's unavoidable. Stage fright is part of the show and just the actor's job in general. Not getting stage fright before a show is like forgetting to put on a costume. As someone said: safety is the actor's worst enemy!
What is an actor's occupational disease? The work!

Stefan Karl Stefansson. an aspiring actor will graduate from Iceland's Drama Academy on the upcoming 22nd of May. Many people already know him from the fun show Waiter in the soup, which was shown in Iðnó this winter, but this summer he brings out his brilliant talent with the leather jacket and chewing gum and follows in Laddi's footsteps as the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, which will be shown in Borgarleikhúsið's. Stefán is taking off.

Hi, idk if you're a Mdni page or not, but I'm really scared. I'm 15f, I live in a mostly red state, I've grown up here, and everyone I know is voting red. I was previously in the middle, I didn't care either way who won. I'm terrified of the election after reading about everything the Republican candidate did and plans to do. I wanna know if there's anything I could do to help prevent Trump from winning the election? I have a younger sister, and I don't want her to have to live in a country where her rights are being stripped from her. I just wanna know how to help. Thank you for reading and feel free to delete if I broke a boundary.
for the record I don't mind anyone sending me an ask, everyone is welcome to interact respectfully.
that out of the way, I remember working for Hillary in the 2016 election (by my math you would have been 7?) and our intern was your age and he was... he was everything he was so dryly sarcastic, smart, unflappable, could do anything, he kept us sane and he saved our asses with his can do (and tech skills) more times than I can count.
So to any teens out there who are not yet old enough to vote and think "oh there's nothing I can do" in 2016 we won a Senate race by 1,000 votes, which 100% was the doors we knocked and the voters we talked to out of our office, a 16 year old intern working his ass off saved Obamacare in 2017, not a word of a lie, you can make a difference as an intern or volunteer
Now, from the tone of what you're saying it sounds like your parents would into that, idk if you're parents are the kind of people who let you explore your own thing, or the kind of people who just wouldn't notice, or if they're the kind who would seriously object to you volunteering for the Democrats or progressive groups.
A lot of people assume because they live in Red States or Blue states they don't matter, but for example there are key Senate races this year in Texas, Montana, Ohio, and Florida (Red) and Maryland (Blue) Alaska is a traditionally red state but its one and only Congressperson is a Democrat who will run a very close race to get re-elected again this year. So where ever you live there is a key race, even if it's local. And lots of chances to call voters or send them postcards in swing states
Any ways everyone check out ways to Volunteer Run for Something also supports younger local candidates so if you live somewhere very red or very blue it can be helpful to find locals running for school board or city Council
now for you personally young person, and everyone else, have real and serious conversations with people in your life about this stuff, I can not TELL you how often I knock on someone's door and we talk politics and they tell me "oh well I'm a Democrat, but everyone around here is really a Republican" but like I just talked to 4 other people who were Democrats in their neighborhood, they just saw one Trump sign and gassed themselves up about it. People are often much more swingable than you think, feel everyone out, if there's an adult in your life thats convincible, work on them find out what they care about and bring them facts, be claim and reasonable and work on them. Each of us doing one on one work with people who know us is WAY! more impactful than any TV ad a campaign can buy.
finally if your parents won't let you volunteer for Dems, reach out to the League of Woman Voters, they're not partisan, so they're not Dems or Republicans, they believe in voting. When I was in High School I organized a voter registration drive in my school at lunch time, thats a great thing to do, call your county/town clerk's office and talk to your school, get a social studies teacher involved they love that shit, young people are much more likely to be Democrats so just registering them is helpful.
best of luck, in the words of Hitchhiker's Guide, Don't Panic.

Mary McDonald-Lewis
Do you ever realize your school made a terrible mistake too late? I found out they had Mary McDonald-Lewis as a guest actor and wow did I not know she was such a shit stirer.
I have learned that.
She's rude.
She has to have the last word.
Apparently she's done this before.
Apparently she has an IMBD page or something it's linked in her emails.
She plays the pity me card when she knows she's losing.
Never meet so called "famous people", I'm sure some are nice, but some times it seems to go to their heads.
To clarify wtf I'm talking about. There's a poll for backstage theatre jobs locally (I'm don't exactly live there any more but I'm still on the listing). Please note I have cut everyone else's names off because THEY aren't public people and unlike Mary here, they did not choose to dox themselves later on.
The poll was:
Her response:
Interesting poll! I see the votes are close at this moment. I’ll look forward to the results.
Regardless, the rule that dollar amounts must be included in posts for job opportunities here has caused us to market our crew and actors’ positions elsewhere. Though we pay, on average, more than most theaters, we don’t agree that our budget is for public scrutiny, and believe it to be the purview of our company, and applicants.
We have no objections to the rule or to others agreeing to abide by it, of course. We simply hire elsewhere.
Then someone else asked:
What's wrong with pay transparency? Once you start paying somebody they can and will tell everybody around them so it's not like it's a secret.
Another person added:
Exactly. A project should say if it pays--but should also say how much. I hate when productions put people on the spot by making them ask.
Then the comment that kicks the whole thing off.
Mary, when you elect to obfuscate your pay rates it signals to professionals that you are either paying too low because you can't afford it or paying too low on purpose to be predatory. You are also wasting your colleagues' time and energy by forcing them to have to ask you how much your pay is. What happens when someone takes that time to ask, and then your rate is unacceptable for them? Now your time has been wasted too. What happens when a hundred people ask your pay rate and none of them like it? That's a lot of time wasted answering people's inquiries and you're no closer to finding your cast and crew. Frustrating, right?
Save everyone's time, energy, and instill confidence in your future collaborators' by posting your pay rates upfront. Besides, if you're so sure your rate is higher on average than most theaters you should be proudly posting it on every call! I guarantee it will expedite your process and everyone will be a lot happier.
The attitude of "we simply hire elsewhere" is antithetical to the collaborative nature of theater and the arts. Where does that end? Over time more and more markets will be demanding pay transparency to avoid time wasting and predatory employers, so eventually you won't be hiring anywhere.
Her response:
You may have misread my post. I offered that posting company financial information publicly is fine for whomever wishes to abide by pdxbackstage’s rules and regulations.
It’s also fine, of course, for those who don’t wish to, to find their workers elsewhere.
We are all able to make our own business and creative decisions, and even if we disagree with them, forcing everyone to comply with pdxbackstage’s rules certainly doesn’t comport with a democratic nation.
I support your right to hire how you please within the law. Same in reverse, I imagine.
She's already on the defense and attack and please note that NO WHERE did we ask for posting a company's financial information was asked ONLY PAY.
Then she gets incredibly defensive in response to someone re-iterating the question about pay transparency.
1. We pay more than most.
2. You are free to do as you wish, so are we.
3. “The attitude of ‘we simply hire elsewhere’ is antithetical to the collaborative nature of theater and the arts.” — this makes no sense. Marketing our positions online in other locations is the same as marketing here, except that we can do it following our own ethos. There are plenty of other places to reach theater workers — don’t we want to reach them there, too?
4. I support your right to post whatever company information you wish anywhere you wish. That’s how it works in a democracy. You may, or may not, return the respect. This is your right, which I also support!
5. I can’t understand the fearful and angry responses, when I seek to defend everyone’s right to do their thing. Again, I urge you: market your work as you will. I’ll be first in line saying “Go, you!” I will not, however, whether the same respect is returned or not, stand in any line that doesn’t line up with my beliefs.
6. I wish you big luck on all your projects.
Nothing, for you and everyone else who agrees with you. Totally cool. I’m all for it. Great idea. Go for it! I will stand with you to defend your right to do this. It’s just not for me. See how that works? You get to do it, I don’t have to: yay democracy!
In response and commentary:
I would like to point out that she CLAIMS to pay more than most (please ALSO note the use of "we" again here this is the 2nd or 3rd time she's used "we") but offers no proof. Cites no person, only claims.
Everyone is free to do as they wish, true.
She's completely missing the point of what the guy was saying.
She's talking down to everyone here.
Again talking down.
Nothing seems sincere at all here.
It was getting heated so I interject hurriedly (with spelling errors and all):
Guys. Please stop fighting. I think we all need to just walk away from the conversation as I think peopme are stsrting to.
1) Get offended.
2) We getting hot headed.
3) I thin we all just need to calm down. Just for a small break for a bit. Maybe an hour or two.
Only for her to do this:
I completely support this group’s rules, and its reasoning, 100%.I understand it, I’m in favor of the decision as it is a group one, and I’m glad the group arrived at this through the democratic process. It should continue to operate in this manner, and I’ll always defend a group like this’s right to define their rules and regs.
At this point I'm just like... oh she needs to have the last word doesn't she?
Someone asks her to clarify (not me):
Pardon my ignorance, but who is the “we” who will “simply hire elsewhere”?
Oh, just me and my little VO projects. I occasionally help out for film/tv projects, or am asked to pass along references in my scope as dialect coach for same.
“Mary McDonald-Lewis” is the name of my company.
I didn't see her response at the time so I also tried to answer the question:
Red S Theater. They're new. Registered official in December of 2024. Putting on their first show The MacBeths at Milagro. Three points of contact. Only person registered by name is Mary Mcdonald-Lewis, the other two seem groups or compnaies: Spiral Stage Theatre Group and Story Federation.
I was just trying to be helpful.
And when I saw her response I put:
Ah looks like Mary answered with a more accurate answer.
Her response:
Hi guys,
Sorry Jack, Red S isn’t the company that’s making the following statement. I am:
1. I agree that pdxbackstage should operate by whatever rules it wishes. I stand in defense of any and all decisions made by the group!
2. For my personal use, I find other places to post jobs without listing pay in the initial post, though I do in follow-up enquiries.
Story Fed is my own non-profit, purchased from Spiral about a decade back.
To re-iterate: no one at Red S is involved in my position here.
If you need to more about me:
Mary McDonald-Lewis
She puts her address here (you can easily look it up if you want but I ain't gonna dox her)
Mother of 1. I live alone.
No matter what you do, I stand in your defense to hold your opinion.
MM
Yeah, you used "we" so the assumption was it was whatever company you were representing not just you. Mary McDonald-Lewis does not appear to be a registered company.
My apologies, I reacted too soon with incorrect information...
And followed up with a question about the "us" and "we".
I would... uh... like to point out that putting your address out there is an interesting choice. I hope it's not your personal address but Red S Theater is... registered to that address too. What did you mean by us" when you said "has caused us to market our crew and actors’ positions elsewhere" if you didn't mean your company.
Sorry if I'm going too far. I'm now just confused about wording and logistics.
Her response was OH PITY ME I'm getting picked on.
Hi Jack,
"I would... uh... like to point out that putting your address out there is an interesting choice. I hope it's not your personal address but Red S Theater is... registered to that address too. What did you mean by us" when you said "has caused us to market our crew and actors’ positions elsewhere" if you didn't mean your company.
Sorry if I'm going too far. I'm now just confused about wording and logistics."
— Oh no worries. Your enquiries are not unanticipated, so let me re-iterate, in case there’s any misunderstanding: I will always stand with any group’s rules and regulations arrived at democratically, as this group has done, and support any theater’s choice to post pay.
This is in fact my home address, provided to satisfy your curiosity about my personal/professional life, and both of my non-profits are listed here, where I live alone on the ground floor. The first, Story Federation, gives me an opportunity to provide theater companies a non-profit to use for their own storytelling purposes, should they lack one and need one for their projects. I’ve had that one for years and it has been used by others for this purpose.
The second, Bronwen’s Way, is a non-profit used to provide support and care for my developmentally delayed, elderly, medically fragile sister, for whom I am the sole caregiver. Bronwen takes up most of my time these days, other than my work as a union voice actor and dialect coach. Bronwen is ill with Parkinson's, and is now facing eviction and homelessness, more of which can be found here, as you are interested in my doings.
I have had several theater companies through the years, but on the “pay” question, I’m referring to the aid I provide film/television companies seeking voice actors, and occasionally, on-camera actors. After 40 years in the business, production companies often ask me about actors with animation skills, but more often, dialect skills. My IMDB is terribly out of date, but you can get a sense of my activity there, which stretches back nearly half a century now. I have a job shooting in New Zealand now, East of Eden, that I coached, and I’m watching Going Dutch now, another project of mine, featuring an Aussie actor rocking a fine US accent. Did you catch Eileen? My actors there really got the Boston accent down. I was very proud of them. The “we” is more often than not just me, but sometimes I get an assist from my little team — accountant, agent, lawyer — on some of these projects. If you need their names I’m sure you can google them, as you have done so well today.
I’m hoping that expressing my opinion here doesn’t result in too many more personal questions nor encourages a belief that answers can be demanded, especially as I’ve stated from the beginning that I think it’s great that folks follow the rules here if they support them, and that this group has a right to its rules. Go, rules! I’m truly all for them.
Jack, if I have satisfied you, that would really make my day. If not, you have my address, come by for a coffee with the rest of your questions and we’ll see what we can do about them.
With great respect and complete support,
MM
Nope no questions, I was just concerned that it was your personal address (which you did not need to share). I'm more adverse to people knowing my home address and I'm happy you feel both comfortable and confident enough in yourself and in strangers on the internet with knowing these things, even if it is a local and closed group.
All I asked was for clarification as a company is also registered there. The information I gave when I was just trying to answer a question about who "we" was referring to and was using the best information I could find readily (and freely) available. Which I will admit I jumped the gun on and did say that you provided more accurate information in response to the other person's question.
I will point out all you had to do was say that they are separate entities, which you did (in longform). I was just confused on what you meant by the "we" and "us" in your first post because it is registered to the same address which indicates that it is run by the same people and asked for some slight clarification as that original post implies that the "we" and "us" looking to hire ewhere would applies not just to you.
That said, I didn't ask for further information than that (perhaps I was too vague on what I wanted for clarification) but you volunteered more than I asked for.
I will admit, it feels like you're talking down to me, and I do apologize if I seemed to slighted or insulted you in any way to invoke that reaction.
And her response:
Jack,
I have appreciated this discussion for many reasons, not least of which because of all the many, many fine points made by Rusty and lots others, which demonstrated very thoughtful reasoning and was rich food for thought.
No apologies necessary. I simply sought to resolve your confusion comprehensively, so as not to draw out what surely cannot be interesting to this entire audience here any longer than it absolutely had to, and I hope I’ve done that.
You have all my contact information should you have more questions. Maybe offline would be a good venue for this.
Warm regards and thanks for the conversation,
MM
And some things she was writing didn't add up. But it didn't matter because it was THEN I REALIZED SHE WAS EDWARD'S ACCENT COACH FOR TWILIGHT. Which is CRAZY. And the topping on the cake was I got an email later from someone who was just watching the whole thing.
Hi Jack, I don't want to post publicly, but I wanted to reach out because Mary Mac is notorious for stirring up trouble, and I see that she is doing it again.
Thanks for being a sane voice, and I hope you don't get too caught up in her shenanigans.
So in short. She's a drama queen who needs to be paid attention to and is a terribly rude person and I've put her on my list of DO NOT HIRE for actors should she ever audition for any of my companies.

This is all for show, as always.
Translation: "LOOK AT MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! LOOK AT ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
This is what is known as BENEVOLENT narcissism, where the narcissist pretends to be the hero, saving the day from evil and swooping in to announce themselves as standing for good. In other words, "Don't hurt the gays! I know you want to hurt them! I'm pleading with you not to hurt anyone!"
Implanting ideas in the populace with an award winning performance. Bravo. (sarcastic clap). Bravo. Truly, YOU are the HERO here. YOU want to save TRANS CHILDREN.
First of all, this woman is in a cult and you know that right away because she makes the claim that there are transgender children. There is absolutely no such thing as a trans child. There are only children with narcissistic sociopath parents like Anne Georgulas who is sexually abusing her son James Younger with the help of the state of California.
If you believe that there is such a thing as a trans child, YOU are allowing sexual predators to sexually target and sexually abuse children. The doctors who administer puberty blockers and the parents who allow this are sexual abusers and predators. Many of them are pedophiles. All of them should be in jail. All of them should have their children removed from their home if the parents brainwashed their children from an early age. I would also go so far as to say please consider the death penalty for parents who transition their children if they brainwash their child from toddlerhood to believe they are the opposite gender. I make the case for the death penalty so we can banish this practice so it goes the way of footbinding. The Chinese used to disfigure women for life. Mental hospitals in America used to sterilize mentally ill patients, even going so far as to surgically remove women's ovaries to "cure" them. Trans "treatments" are no different.
Republicans are not anti gay. The party has come a long way since the fearmongering of the 80s and decades previous to it. Both the Democrat Party and the GOP have changed considerably as generations have evolved their value system. This is part of the narcissistic woke cult dogma, which seeks to consistently redefine reality, to pretend, to scapegoat, to deflect, to gaslight, to manipulate, to warp the minds of its adherents. The more you victimize yourselves with the gender cult or the BLM cult, the less likely you will be able to distinguish truth from reality.
This bishop should have thanked Trump for saving our civilization. She should thank him for saving black America, Hispanic America, and all other ethnicities from the communists that want to enslave their minds and create a totalitarian society with continuous propaganda and mentacide. She should thank Trump for saving Christians from the persecution of their own government, which has been compromised with leftist communist atheists that want to destroy religion and belief in God. She should thank him for saving gays from a monstrous communist takeover that seeks to punish them if they do not parrot the LGBTQ cult's communist slogans.
I'll do it for her.
Thank you, President Trump. Thank you for standing up for MY values and for AMERICA's values. Thank you for saving children from a needle jab that will permanently sterilize them. Thank you for declaring the truth that there is no such thing as gender fluidity. Thank you for recognizing that there is only male and female in all of human biology. There is no spectrum. There are genetic defects such as Marfan Syndrome and hermaphrodites that are rare, and trans people mostly fall under the category of extremely delusional mentally ill people. The contagion has spread through a concentrated effort to encourage this mental illness.
Thank you, President Trump for your lifelong support of the gay community. Thank you for always humanizing gay people. Thank you for fighting against the hypocrisy of the LGBT cult and its disastrous alignment with communist forces that seek dominance, reputation destruction, propaganda campaigns, rumor spreading, and the nauseating encouragement of hedonism even at the preschool level. Thank you for standing up against sexual grooming of children in schools. Thank you for declaring that women should not have to compete with men pretending to be women in the gangsterlike shakedown throughout the world of women's athletics.
Thank you for winning against the narcissistic forces of Biden/Harris and their giant propaganda machine dedicated to convincing you of their false altruism.
And thank you to GOD for protecting Donald Trump so he may deliver our country from true Satanic evil.

It's kinda... odd? To be like 'I'm truly sorry for everyone affected if trump goes through with his policies' in the same post as saying 'don't hate everyone who voted him though'.
Like??? The people who voted for him know about those policies you know???
i mean yes. I will admit that was odd. Not my best move. Also, if you want to hate them I won't stop you. I just think the sudden upsurge of people voting for him and him getting the popular vote reeks of foul play, and I don't know if the people in the middle of that deserve the hatred.
Also I don't feel like everyone did know though. Trump supporters can be quite... mean. to put it lightly, and they aren't kind to people who don't agree with them. I wouldn't be surprised if people voted for him so they would stop getting verbally assaulted by die hard trump supporters. Also the us vs them is bad right now between Republicans and Democrats. So my thought was a lot of people voted for him because if they didn't their community would kick them out because they 'went woke.' Also like hiding information from the public is a thing?? Something people have been known to do when Trump is involved. (Elon Musk with Twitter, Fox News... to name a few) and like I think people genuinely didn't know because not everyone had time to research or just didn't??? Also I don't doubt a lot of people didn't want to accept he's a terrible person, and his policies are genuinely concerning, when he seems like such a good person in the media. Those two things are very jarring when put together and a lot of people probably just chose to believe he was a good person rather than hold the fact he's comitted over 30 felonies and should be in jail, but he's placed in the media like the saving grace of America. Or they just didn't know because they didn't seek out sources that had opposing views and actually consider them. Cognative dissonance is not something a lot of people are willing to face.
Also sorry??? For not thinking everyone deserves to be despised???? Like I don't like that people voted for trump. Let me make that clear. I do not like that he will be in office. I don't want him there. I really want immigrants to be able to stay in the U.S, women to have healthcare and be able to have an abortion and just be able to idk, exist?? For once??? And people of color and people who aren't Christian to able to exist, and LGBTQ+ people to not be killed and for trans people to not be demonized and actual history to be taught in schools. Also the climate change. I want that to be taken seriously. I don't think he's a good person and honest to God I don't understand how he got in again. And I don't want to repeat his last term just worse. But I just wish we could try to convince people that Trump is not a good person and his policies are not good in a way that wont make them double down in the belief that they are. I don't know how to do that, but I don't think attacking them will do much. That is what I was trying to say in my previous post.
But to address the last part of anon's ask, 'the people who voted for trump knew his polices' that's why I'm concerned???? is the people who knew his policies still voted for him knowing his policies???Like I'm genuinely terrified of those people because they know the harm this will bring. Also like didn't he promise to be a dictator day one and kill everyone who opposed him??? Or if not kill incarcerate? Or do something else terrible? Like. Um. If I'd heard that constantly I would have been terrified to not vote for him. And it's with the extremists for trump (something that is turning into a cult if you compare it with the BITE model) who would storm the capital again if he asked and kill half the population if he asked that I draw the line of we shouldn't hate them. I don't like those people. I don't like that that's a possibility.
And like I am sorry for how badly this will affect people.
And I don't think everyone who voted for trump is a terrible person. I just don't think everyone who voted for him knew what they were voting for. Is it controversial to hold that opinion? Maybe. Idk. Sharing it is stupid, apparently. Like I get people are really angry right now, with good reason but idk. I didn't want this to happen. I wish he hadn't run again so this wouldn't be a problem. And I don't understand how he not only won but got the popular vote, when a ton of celebrities were suggesting to vote for Harris. It doesn't sit right with me.
Sorry if this is controversial, I guess. Disregard this if desired. I know a lot of it probably doesn't make sense.
I just, idk. I don't know why I thought it would help if I tried to suggest that the trump trolls stop insulting people.
God I'm so tired.

Defiant Biden Handlers Just Threw Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi Under the Bus and Then Backed Over Them
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4b1c4308722b65120cc3e897a79a26fb/25b41eb716866b93-14/s540x810/11abbca39a3710a8fe8d3adc0bf7bf06a46c431c.jpg)
After Joe Biden allegedly contracted COVID and left Las Vegas for his Delaware beach house on Wednesday, much speculation suggested he was preparing to leave the race. Even the betting markets shifted, showing the probability of Biden dropping out at an all-time high.
That was exacerbated by an interview where the president said he would drop out if a medical issue arose. Still, I offered some words of caution on that front.
SEE: Joe Biden Says He'd Drop Out If Doctors Told Him to, Sets Up a 'Dignified' Exit (Updated)
With all that said, my money is still, for the moment at least, on Biden staying in the race. There's now a path for me to be wrong, but I won't believe Jill Biden will concede the White House until it happens. There is also a long list of handlers who derive their living from Biden who aren't going to want to go quietly. Further, he can't simply leave the presidential race. He'd have to resign the presidency as well. After all, how can you be too senile to run for president but not too senile to be president? The machinations that would need to happen going forward are almost unfathomable.
Perhaps I was on to something because Biden's handlers responded with a vengeance on Thursday. As RedState reported, a senior administration official rebutted claims that the president was close to bowing out, stating that he could start campaigning again as soon as next week.
White House coffee boy Andrew Bates also lashed out publicly in no uncertain terms.
Now, Biden's handlers are getting even more vicious. A report from NBC News quotes a "source close to Biden" throwing Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi under the bus before backing up over them. They even go so far as to say the three named above were responsible for Donald Trump being elected in 2016 because they pushed Hillary Clinton to the forefront.
“Can we all just remember for a minute that these same people who are trying to push Joe Biden out are the same people who literally gave us all Donald Trump? In 2015, Obama, Pelosi, Schumer pushed Biden aside in favor of Hillary; they were wrong then and they are wrong now,” the source told NBC News. The source pointed to polling in the 2016 election that showed Hillary Clinton leading by as much as nine points. “How did all this work out for everyone in 2016? Perhaps we should learn a few lessons from 2016; one of them is polls are BS, just ask Sec. Clinton. And two, maybe, just maybe, Joe Biden is more in touch with actual Americans than Obama-Pelosi-Schumer?” the source added.
That doesn't sound like Biden is about to drop out of the race, does it? As I've said before, there's more going on behind the scenes than just what the president wants. Jill Biden is wildly ambitious and shows no sign of wanting to give up the life of luxury her husband's position provides. There's also a laundry list of hangers-on both working for Biden's campaign and within the administration itself who do not want to lose their gravy train. If the president leaves the race, they will be largely sidelined, and they know.
Then there's Biden himself. He's a deeply egotistical man who will not want to go down in history as someone who gave up against Trump. Never mind that he'll almost assuredly be blamed if he does drop out and then Kamala Harris goes on to lose. There's no easy path out of the race for Biden that allows him to save face.
With that said, attacking the biggest names in the Democratic Party seems less than helpful. If Biden's handlers burn the party to the ground in their attempt to keep their jobs, then a loss is all but certain come November anyway. So what's being gained?
This entire thing is an unbelievable cluster. Admittedly, I'm not that old, but I've never seen anything like this in all my time following politics, and certainly not in my time commenting on politics. There's no good answer here for Democrats, though that's a reality no one seems keen to accept at this moment.
